Home Visits

Doctor's bagThe practice does not routinely offer home visits but they will be made in circumstances where the doctor feels it is medically necessary.

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10:00 if you require a home visit. The receptionist will request the full name and address of the patient and brief details of their condition so that the doctor can assess the priority of the visit. A doctor will then telephone you to discuss your request. Visits are usually done after morning surgery but there may be a delay.

You can be visited at home by a community nurse if you are referred by your GP. You should also be visited at home by a health visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are newly registered with a GP and have a child under five years.
